Area information
Gorzów is an excellent base for day trips. In the areas surrounding Gorzów there are many lakes, rivers and woods including three forests, numerous national parks and nature reserves. Only 50 km from the city there is the largest bat reserve in Europe and also a water fowl reserve. The parks in the city provide extensive green areas and make it an excellent place to spend holidays and leisure time.
The Woldenberg 'Offlag' Prisoner of War camp - the remains of this POW camp can be visited as it is close by.
